a home of love

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Greeted by the bright and the warmness of their home at Blk 122 Bishan St 12, Kien Hwee and Paulina invited us with a big friendly welcome into their newly renovated home. The first impression upon entering the abode doesn’t seem to feel like a HDB Design house as there is a visible projection illuminated on the white wall and the wide spacious living area accompanied by the stark contrast colors from the furnishing and house plant, complimented with the piece of rug that demarcates the sofa area and dining area. The entire house is brightly lit with a good mix of downlights and track lightings.

On the right of the entrance is the full height storage cabinet with a niche compartment for displaying decorative items such as inspirational lovely quotes and photo frame. Furnished with multiple and various shelving space in the storage cabinet, there is no need to worry over the lack of storage space and organizing the household items. The compartment on the right side doubles up as shoe cabinet which will be able to fit all the shoes of the family of 5.

Paulina also expressed a strong inclination towards the “soft” side on the ID Tiara’s design where it is more feminine and they let her take on the wheel in the design aspects, on the other hand, Kien Hwee had his certain requirements on the tv console, which juxtapose with the concealed setup. The main key is to fit in a short-throw projector within the drawer unit of the tv console and able to retract the drawer as and when it is being utilized or go back to its original state when it is not in use.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_media_grid item=”mediaGrid_FadeInWithIcon” grid_id=”vc_gid:1608978820096-5fa00670-4dbe-5″ include=”3514,3515,3516,3517,3518,3519,3520,3521,3523″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]Interior designers, Derrick and Tiara both carefully designed the theme of this home for homeowners Kien Hwee and Paulina as they had some ideas in mind, especially Paulina wanted to create a “Goodwood Park Hotel” feel for their master bedroom. And 2 contrasting color themes for their daughters’ room and son’s room respectively.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][dt_media_gallery_carousel image_border_radius=”0px” image_scale_animation_on_hover=”slow_scale” project_icon_color=”#ffffff” project_icon_border_width=”0px” arrow_bg_width=”36x” arrow_border_width=”0px” r_arrow_icon_paddings=”0px 0px 0px 0px” r_arrow_v_offset=”0px” l_arrow_icon_paddings=”0px 0px 0px 0px” l_arrow_v_offset=”0px” include=”3524,3527,3525,3533,3536,3535,3534,3526,3528,3529,3530,3537,3531,3532″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]A resort feel emanates from the master bedroom just as the couple loves the staycation feel and wanted to bring it back to their home, hence accompanied with the side tables, dressing table and mirror with gold trimming that resembles the Goodwood Park Hotel. Tiara designed a full height bookshelf as the couple spend their free time reading, and have a vast collection of books.

Pink color was opted for their daughters’ room, with stark contrast by using white finishing for the study table, bedframe (with gold lining), top-hung shelvings and cabinets while Daniel’s room (their son) is filled with clean lines, white finishing and blue hues for the color contrasting combination.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”3539″ img_size=”medium”][vc_column_text]
