A magnificent view was captured the moment we took a step into the newly renovated and furnished 5 room HDB resale flat located at the hustling and bustling part of eastern Singapore, Bedok North Street 2. The whole house was done up in a span of 10-12 weeks and filled up the entire floor area of 1300 square feet.
The living room is charmingly greeted by the brightly lit sunlight shining through the window grilles, bringing in positive energy and uplifting the mood.
Taking a few more steps into the home, we see an array of tracklights (daylight) above us splattering onto the wall creating ambience glow, simply fascinating and alluring.
Homeowner Sue mentioned and emphasized on the “motorbike corner” which her husband, Azmi loves it so much and they are very happy with the finished product. The shoe cabinet is also one of their highlights when comes to house visiting, it’s galore of collection.
The overall color palette that you will find in the living room is mostly white, black and some neutral tones such as wooden brown, and hues of bright red accompanied with greys.
Taking a few more steps into the living hall, we were greeted with the view of the dining area or what the homeowner Sue calls it the “bar area” if there’s a word to describe the scene, it is awe-inspiring.
What is present in front of us is a coffee table instead of a dining table, and it pairs off perfectly with the wall shelvings and bar-top table alongside the window.
On the left side of the dining area is the kitchen, which is aligned to the overall color scheme (brown, grey and black). While the exposed black pipings running through the entire kitchen and whole house, the white glass backing accompanied with rustic looking kompacplus countertop distinctively capture the attention of one who steps into the kitchen instantaneously.
The amount of bright natural lighting would suffice without the need of switching on the ceiling light during the day time, unlike some homes which are rather dim during the day.
Let’s hear what Sue has to say about her newly renovated home.
All the 3 bedrooms are distinctively painted with a different choice of colors but the uniformity of the concept still remains the same, with exposed black pipings, same flooring and tracklightings.
While Azmi has a great collection of his motorbike helmets and accessories, so is Sue with her handbags gallery situated in their masterbedroom. As being showcased in the photos next to the full height dressing mirror, Sue prefers them in dust bags as she doesn’t use them most of the time. Neatly arranged and stacked in the built-in glass cabinet shelvings with the illuminating effects from the LED strips sitting in rows, that small corner is also tailor-made to their preference as the door closure gap fits perfectly without clashing with the glass doors.
On the left, you find a pool of toys and children’s play mat which belongs to their toddler and they built a wardrobe to future proof for her which they may utilize it when she grows up.
Next is their elder daughter’s room which is fully functional for a student with a suspended study table and top hung cabinets for storage of books and personal items.
Thank you, Sue and Azmi for entrusting your home to us and we are glad that we have made your dreams into reality.
