2 are very close in terms of budget and understanding our needs. The reason for choosing 9 Creation was the ID, Wen Kang.
When I first received Wen Kang’s email, it was quite daunting as he asked many questions. It forced you to think it through. When we first met Wen Kang face to face, he was already ahead of the competition as he had some design options on 2D layouts, while our first meetings with other IDs were to understand our needs. Wen Kang is also highly skilled in 3D drawings, helping us greatly to visualise the designs.
As we were on the tight budget, Wen Kang also opened for us to work with vendors of our choices, like glass work, painter, electrician, and tiler.
No reno project ran smoothly. Our project faced many issues, yet Wen Kang’s positive outlook would assure you and keep you calm.
The synergy we had was more of thinking partners, where we freely shared our inputs on the designs and bounced the ideas to resolve technical issues, e.g., after hacking the kitchen wall, we found piping protruding out from the ceiling. We needed to come up with the design to cover the piping yet compliment the rest of the design. Wen Kang was open to different ideas I proposed and coordinated with contractor what was feasible and wasn’t.
Wen Kang also worked on the tight timeline to coordinate with the carpenter as the carpentry was the major portion of the design.
Despite all the hiccups, the project turned out great, and we enjoyed our comfy space with thoughtful designs.
